The 1980s were an interesting time in film history: less racist than before but not by much. Here, beige actors were starting to get work, but only as Libyan Terrorists and Blues musicians who are taught how to play ‘Johnny B. Goode’ by a time-travelling white boy.

We don't know what kind of beef Spielberg had with Chuck Berry, but this whole operation feels pretty extreme.
